Kohl Publishing is looking for a short filmmaker to produce a 5-6 minute non-fiction film.

 

Must have experience in making short films (production, storytelling, direction and camera work) and have own equipment, or at least access to rented equipment. The role will involve some travel for which expenses will be covered.

 

We particularly welcome applications from filmmakers who live within reasonable distance from Glasgow. While non-fiction filmmaking is not essential, it is preferred. We would also prefer applicants to have their own transport.

 

Payment 

We will pay £500 for the finished film. Travel expenses for location shooting is covered, however, day-to-day travel is not. We will not cover costs for rented equipment or additional crew members – the filmmaker would be expected to cover these costs from his/her fee, should they be required. Please note that if you are working as part of a small team, we would expect you to manager your own crew effectively.

 

Deadlines

Please send portfolios by 5pm on Wednesday 18 July 2012. We will contact shortlisted filmmakers by email and arrange a face-to-face discussion about the project. The successful candidate MUST be available on Sunday 19 August 2012 for filming.
