Entry Level Fashion Copywrighter Vacancy @ Stylesight (London)

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000
 
Main Duties
The primary function of the Entry-Level Copywriter is to write and edit all and any copy that is required by the forecasting team, including reports on women’s, men’s and children’s wear, wovens, knitwear, beauty, beachwear, color and interiors. The copy must translate and enhance the visual concept and should inspire and aid Stylesight’s wide-ranging clientele.
 
• Liaise with forecasting staff and freelancers to be briefed at the beginning of each project
• Be fluent in fashion terminology and history while continually researching new fabric and construction terms
• Be creative and engaging with copy, titles and descriptions while writing with a direct and concise style
• Accuracy and attention-to-detail are essential as the role will involve continuous editing and proof-reading
• Spelling, grammar and punctuation must be exceptional
• Maintain consistent formatting and word count restrictions
• Keep track of complex calendar schedules and be well-organized to deliver reports in a timely fashion
• Liaise with in-house and remote graphic designers and project managers to ensure deadlines are met
• Assist forecast directors from time to time with research; scanning, cleaning and uploading images
 
Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a fashion or design field
• Recent graduate to someone with experience in the fashion industry 
• Must demonstrate a range of copywriting experience in the fashion industry
• Must be able to translate visual imagery into accurate written descriptions
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to liaise with multiple team members
• Must be comfortable with following direction and receiving feedback
• Must be self-motivated and proactive
• Must be computer/Mac savvy; able to work at a computer all day
