Posting to let you guys know that my movie Can't See Me won the "156 people can't be wrong" audience award at the CineFringe festival which ran at this years Edinburgh Festival in August. Well chuffed. The film is on here and also on my site (along…
Thanks for the kind words guys, always nice to hear. Ill be posting any new work here. On my website theres a wee bit more about Dark Places, including photos and deleted scenes - www.zmoproductions.co.uk. Cheers.
A very well structured and editted film. Loved the monochrome shots, which gave the piece a texture of grit. Some well orchestrated techniques with camera, the pulling focus and the intentional lack of clarity in pivitol elements of the frame. The e…
Its a tale of interdimensional addiction with the chance of redemption. Every time it happens, there's always a task.
One I done before Dark Places. Done pretty well at some festivals.
Making movies and taking photos is my thing ever since I picked up a Pentax SLR aged 12.
Experience
Started making films for a laugh a few years ago then decided to approach it with a modicum of seriousness. Since then I’ve had reasonable success with a few shorts. The Void made the last 8 of the Triggerstreet festival (which got me in the papers!) and featured in festivals over the globe – USA, Australia and Ireland. A really short short called Blank I made ended up in the last 30 of the Virgin Online Shorts thing. Dark Places in the Sunshine won the 2009 Palme Dewar. Can't See Me is playing at a good few festivals this year, including 3 in Scotland. See www.zmoproductions.co.uk for more.
Hi Chris. I'll check those out when I get home. The thumbnail for 'Can't See Me' looks nice and colourful. You should 'subscribe' to the new Film Fests section of the website if you like. I'll be posting interesting film festival submission calls there whenever I come across them (not too often though as I don't want to spam people). All the best! :)

Hey Chris, thanks for your comments on Legs! Just watched your 2 new vids. They are (again) amazingly shot and sound design on Cant See Me again is outstanding -- I love how much it impacts on the storyline. Superb - keep me updated!
Hey Chris. Thought you might be interested in submitting "Dark Places..." to this event in China. I immediately thought of 'Dark Places' with regards to the brief, due to the lack of dialogue etc.
As for the MM Screenings... hopefully in the coming months lol.
Hi Chris! It may well be the case that you'll be busy with other projects, but I thought I'd make you aware of the initial 'feeling things out/early days' phase for the next MM production. You can view the post on the discussion forum by clicking here. I should be boring and stress that no immediate action is planned, and that this is just me trying to gauge interest levels. Cheers!
Hey Chris, that's fantastic news! I've added a little bit to the main page of the site about the film and the screening, and can also write something up for the November newsletter if you wish.
If you were ever wondering, the fabled MM Screening still hasn't happened yet. You might have heard in the news about all the bother with student loans etc. - I'm a victim of that lol. As soon as the student financial people have sorted out all the mess and I'm a little more 'financially stable' I should be able to concentrate a little more on the Screenings, should you still want "Dark Places..." to be a part of it.
All the best at the Palme-Dewar anyway. "Dark Places..." is a hit with the MM members! :D
Hey, Chris - yeah that's fine! :D I'm moving it all back, I think the negatives out-weigh the pluses of trying to do something like this during festival time - for me anyway, working alone. If you still need the application form I'll put it back online when I get home. Had forgotten I'd taken it off the site. =/ Have a good one!

No worries, Chris. I'm gonna 'relax' that 15th July deadline date as I've had a hectic couple of weeks myself. So no need to rush with a submission. Have a good one!

Hey Chris! Welcome to MM and thanks for joining. I'm Billy and I run the site - hopefully it'll prove useful to you as time goes on. If you have any news or info to pass on about Dark Places in the Sunshine - or anything else - just let me know and I can stick it on the main page, or in one of our newsletters etc. Have a good one! :)

I definitely think Billy is working for Apple lol. I agree that the price for Celtx is silly. I think most of these apps holds novelty value and nothing more. But you should invest in an iPhone. They're shiny. :P
Driving people places. Making tea. Coiling cables. Sending rejection emails to failed auditionees. Mopping floors. Logging shots. God forbid, once they actually had me operate a camera.

This seems like one of your periodic outbursts to me...! :P Yes, the two big networks are now far bigger than Media Muppet, but you always knew that was going to be the case as soon as those websites appeared. Central Station has over 60, 000 member…

It is a good website, that is a lot of money to run a website, but I can see there is alot of content on here,I can imagine it being time consuming especially with one person doing it all
Due to the nature of the site, and the large amounts of bandwidth and storage required, as well as all the extras such as people having their own profile pages, MM costs about £35 per month to run. I was always fine with this so long as people made…
Creative Scotland and central station doesn't appeal to me, it's all art house driven media and films and I can't relate to i.
But looking at some of the content and films, trailers on media muppet does interest me. It's good to see and talk to othe…
Well Billy, now you're scaring me a little! I am sure the other sites are splendid BUT to me MM has a niche too. Someone I know in the DIY scene has just killed off his band - a bunch of guys that created some really great music - have just STOPPED.…
Shameless iphone promotion Billy! How much is Mr Jobs payin u?! ;) (Yes im still mulling over iphone) Jokes aside, I too doubted the celtx app, unless it's a viewer only app, then maybe it's justified. No actually 4get that all u need is pdf viewer…
