A very well structured and editted film. Loved the monochrome shots, which gave the piece a texture of grit. Some well orchestrated techniques with camera, the pulling focus and the intentional lack of clarity in pivitol elements of the frame. The e…
Personally I think it depends on what area you want to go into. Mot professional bodies expect you to go in as a runner and work up, you can learn alot starting at grass roots level. When it comes to certain area's like costume and make up practical…
Ive just finish 3rd year at the University Of The West of Scotland and you're exactly right.
My degree is in Music Technology, but Ive only had about 3 days on a sound desk and 5 days on a live sound PA... ive had a lot more experience doing camera…
Well I think when you're just starting out (as is the case for all of us who have thus far posted), it's a far better bet to go forward with the attitude that you want to be a "Jack of All Trades" type of character.
You're right, Craig: I have also…
I enjoyed the quirkyness of this music video. The attention to period detail sells this for me as well as the knod to George Formby and the Chaplin-esque quality.
Very watchable and charming.
Two big thumbs up to you Gail and all involved.
A big fan of all things TV and film, I am one of these fellas who is missed when absent, being well over 6ft that is hardly surprising. I like coming up with ideas and narrative dramas and stories ( I am never without a notepad for scribbling down the od kernal or satelite ) but am always willing to throw myself behind other peoples ideas and work on them so we all get the best result possible.
My ongoing task is to gather and soak up experience, what ever the role may be - during my studys of Television at college I have done everything from camera to lights to acting to chief dishwasher. But I'm not done yet, the more experience the better. We're only at the beginning of the rainbow.

Best of luck with that, Craig. I think it'll appeal to the audience, and I do believe the Meniscus Film Festival competition winners are decided by the audience, which is great.
I'm going to take my green screen into college and shoot a couple of things with it - the primary aim being to use green screen effectively. Trying to amass a rag-tag crew, made-up mainly from NQs. Hoping for Tuesday and Thursday evenings so keep that in mind if it's something you're interested in.
Hi chaps and chapettes! You can use the Media Muppet forum for pretty much any purpose you please. Say hello and introduce yourself - that would be a good start!

I definitely think Billy is working for Apple lol. I agree that the price for Celtx is silly. I think most of these apps holds novelty value and nothing more. But you should invest in an iPhone. They're shiny. :P
Driving people places. Making tea. Coiling cables. Sending rejection emails to failed auditionees. Mopping floors. Logging shots. God forbid, once they actually had me operate a camera.
As I am but a weak and feeble woman (with a strong backgroun…

This seems like one of your periodic outbursts to me...! :P Yes, the two big networks are now far bigger than Media Muppet, but you always knew that was going to be the case as soon as those websites appeared. Central Station has over 60, 000 member…

It is a good website, that is a lot of money to run a website, but I can see there is alot of content on here,I can imagine it being time consuming especially with one person doing it all
Due to the nature of the site, and the large amounts of bandwidth and storage required, as well as all the extras such as people having their own profile pages, MM costs about £35 per month to run. I was always fine with this so long as people made…
Creative Scotland and central station doesn't appeal to me, it's all art house driven media and films and I can't relate to i.
But looking at some of the content and films, trailers on media muppet does interest me. It's good to see and talk to othe…
Well Billy, now you're scaring me a little! I am sure the other sites are splendid BUT to me MM has a niche too. Someone I know in the DIY scene has just killed off his band - a bunch of guys that created some really great music - have just STOPPED.…
