How are tricks, son? What with you banishing Facebook from your life and me hating writing text messages, I figured MM may as well be our main point of contact. How convenient! ;D
Will have to meet up soon for an expensive but wholesomely satisfying Starbucks chicken sandwich. Very glad the whole 'Swan' ordeal fluttered off into obscurity and nothingness. That was a pile of shite I'm more than happy to forget about. What are you up to this Summer?
Hey Craig! It may well be the case that you'll be busy with other projects, but I thought I'd make you aware of the initial 'feeling things out/early days' phase for the next MM production. You can view the post on the discussion forum by clicking here. I should be boring and stress that no immediate action is planned, and that this is just me trying to gauge interest levels. Cheers!
Hey man, I'm good, and yourself? Just having a week or two away from everything and clearing my head. Been a weird month so fancied a break. Still checking MM most days of course! ;) What you been up to?
Hey Craig! In late May/early June I would like to work on a short series called "The Oddities." Each mini episode would:
- Be a few minutes long.
- Contain one single character.
- Tell a memorable story via monologue.
- Be a chance for the actor to create/perform a character interesting to them.
- Be a chance for the filmmaker to create some beautiful shots.
And that's it, really. A different actor each episode. Interested?! :D
CRAIG!!! I'm just really, really tired - I don't think I've ever had a busier month in my entire life, and the worst is yet to come! I'm thinking of taking up cocaine to get me through the days... just kidding. It's all been good fun, and all revolving around filming! Mostly.
How have you been getting on? I saw your post on the '2009' thread - anything specific you have in mind to launch yourself back into things? Once February rolls around I'll have my major project to get stuck into. Scare Propaganda, 2012, New World Order, sex education, chemicals in foods, religious scare mongering... all that good shit, crammed into fifteen minutes. What is scare propaganda, why is it used, and against whom?!
I bought the 'Night Is Day' DVD and am watching through it just now.
Any luck with that actor yet, Mr Talent Scout? Hehe! We're having a production meeting tonight, see, would be nice if I have something to report to the troops. But don't worry if haven't be able to find anyone, we're all on the hunt for someone :)
Hey mate. Yeah, been good. Working away on getting ideas in a good condition scriptwise. Will keep you posted on developments. What have you been up to of late?
How you doin, havent seen you in a while - think the last time was at McLeishe's at the end of Aug.
An idea I've got floating found my currenlty flu ridden brain box is that of two brothers (one jaded and cold but fundamentally good - the other young, nieve and misguided) who are bitter rvals. The death of their (coniving) father forces a reconciliation. It is virtually voice over. Could picture you doing the part of the older brother. Still early days and the script still needs tweeking but want you to know you were one of the folk in the back of my mind when I began writing.
Yeh, met some Stevenson NQ Media folk on Friday and they said this seemed a good way to try and get collaboration going between different creative people...
I definitely think Billy is working for Apple lol. I agree that the price for Celtx is silly. I think most of these apps holds novelty value and nothing more. But you should invest in an iPhone. They're shiny. :P
Driving people places. Making tea. Coiling cables. Sending rejection emails to failed auditionees. Mopping floors. Logging shots. God forbid, once they actually had me operate a camera.

This seems like one of your periodic outbursts to me...! :P Yes, the two big networks are now far bigger than Media Muppet, but you always knew that was going to be the case as soon as those websites appeared. Central Station has over 60, 000 member…

It is a good website, that is a lot of money to run a website, but I can see there is alot of content on here,I can imagine it being time consuming especially with one person doing it all
Due to the nature of the site, and the large amounts of bandwidth and storage required, as well as all the extras such as people having their own profile pages, MM costs about £35 per month to run. I was always fine with this so long as people made…
Creative Scotland and central station doesn't appeal to me, it's all art house driven media and films and I can't relate to i.
But looking at some of the content and films, trailers on media muppet does interest me. It's good to see and talk to othe…
Well Billy, now you're scaring me a little! I am sure the other sites are splendid BUT to me MM has a niche too. Someone I know in the DIY scene has just killed off his band - a bunch of guys that created some really great music - have just STOPPED.…
