Karen has been performing on stage and screen since the age of 16. Along the way, she has found time to obtain a degree in archaeology, and to work in a selection of bars, shops and offices while building up experience in a wide variety of stage and broadcast roles.
Karen has featured in an impressive array of short films including Stramash, Goldfish and Twelve, all of which were filmed in Scotland, and most recently appeared as Sadie Carter in Monarch of the Glen. She is also building a reputation as a voice-over artiste of charm and versatility both on radio and TV.
Appearing on stage from an early age, Karen was groomed by the highly regarded Glasgow Schools Youth Theatre, where she shared the stage with an impressive array of future actors including Joe McFadden (Crow Road), Natalie Robb (The Bill) and Stephen McCole (Orphans and The High Life) amongst others. Her stage credits have been wide and varied in recent years, from classic roles such as Eliza Doolittle in Pygmalion, to her heart rending portrayal of Beth in Janet Paisley’s The Refuge.

Hi Karen and welcome to MM! I'm Billy and I run the place. As you've just recently joined you may not have seen the newsletters regularly sent out to all members. You can view the most recent one: here.
Looking to make MM more useful to performers, as I realise everything is very centric to filmmakers/ production people in general at the moment. If you have any suggestions, feel free. Always, always looking to improve.
Also hoping to finalise a venue and date for a series of screenings showcasing MM member films. If you'd be interested in having any of the films you've worked on shown, don't hesitate to ask me for details.
I definitely think Billy is working for Apple lol. I agree that the price for Celtx is silly. I think most of these apps holds novelty value and nothing more. But you should invest in an iPhone. They're shiny. :P

This seems like one of your periodic outbursts to me...! :P Yes, the two big networks are now far bigger than Media Muppet, but you always knew that was going to be the case as soon as those websites appeared. Central Station has over 60, 000 member…

It is a good website, that is a lot of money to run a website, but I can see there is alot of content on here,I can imagine it being time consuming especially with one person doing it all
Due to the nature of the site, and the large amounts of bandwidth and storage required, as well as all the extras such as people having their own profile pages, MM costs about £35 per month to run. I was always fine with this so long as people made…
Creative Scotland and central station doesn't appeal to me, it's all art house driven media and films and I can't relate to i.
But looking at some of the content and films, trailers on media muppet does interest me. It's good to see and talk to othe…
Well Billy, now you're scaring me a little! I am sure the other sites are splendid BUT to me MM has a niche too. Someone I know in the DIY scene has just killed off his band - a bunch of guys that created some really great music - have just STOPPED.…
